Do you know that animal acupuncture has been around for thousands of years? In modern times it is typically used to heal dogs, cats, horses and cows. According to the US-based organization, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, acupuncture can be used, "for functional problems such as those that involve paralysis, noninfectious inflammation (such as allergies), and pain." Specifically, the Society says both large and small animals can be treated with acupuncture for musculoskeletal problems.
