Škocjan Caves, Precious Jewel of the Earth

The Škocjan Caves is a natural jewel of eastern Europe and pride of Slovenia. These caves had often been suggested as a contender for the “Eighth Wonder of the Natural World.” The vast system of magnificent underground caverns and chambers has been listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 1986.
