But we have a better way to comfort the dead, that is to get initiation and their life automatically becomes better in the world beyond. That has been proven by disciples.

And five, six generations beyond them even. And even your friends and whoever you love and think of, they will immediately benefit. They might get liberation or they might get better for the time being and get liberation later. That’s the best way, the surest way, the quickest way to elevate the deceased’s suffering, should they be in suffering. If they have already been liberated in Heaven, and there they get to an even better Heaven. If they suffer in hell, they immediately get comforted and liberated. That’s the best way that I know. The other way is you may do it or you don’t do it. It is up to you. (Thank You.) I do not say it is forbidden or anything because if it helps you, comforts you, that’s alright.

The only thing I can tell her is that our getting initiation and practicing the Quan Yin Method (meditation on the inner Heavenly Light and Sound) is the most filial way, and the fastest. If their ancestors are in hell, they will be saved from it immediately. If they’re in Heaven, they will go to a higher Heaven. If they’re living comfortably, they will be even more comfortable, and then slowly… quickly or slowly, they will be liberated. That’s all I can tell her. It is the best, the fastest, and the most effective way I know. As for other things, she should go and ask those wandering souls. But I’m saying that burning paper money isn’t harmful. It’s harmless. If they like to do it, and if it makes them feel comfortable, they may do it. There’s nothing right or wrong about it. It’s just that the best thing I know is to practice the Quan Yin Method. That’s not an ideal disciple. Can you hurry up? Please. It’s taking so long. Is his translation good? Because our spiritual practice requires our mind to be focused and we need to be sincere.
