We would like to introduce a song that is written and performed for the first time by a singer who is loved by many. Please welcome Ái Vân and her song, “Promises on Harvest Day.”

Ladies and gentlemen, at this moment, we would like to introduce to you a highly accomplished Aulacese (Vietnamese) musician whose family have been traditional musicians for five generations. He plays 15 instruments well, which are found in Âu Lạc (Vietnam), China, India, Iran, and Europe. Since 1966, he has given more than 2,000 concerts around the world in 41 countries. He got the Gold Medal of music offered by the Asian Cultural Academy in Paris. Please welcome Mr. Trần Quang Hải, from France.

“Now, I’m very glad to present to you one of the most, well, original instruments that you can find in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). This one doesn’t come from Âu Lạc (Vietnam), but it comes from Siberia. It’s very close to Âu Lạc (Vietnam). We call it the Jew sound (Jew’s harp). The Jew sound (Jew’s harp) is the instrument that you put against the mouth, and you can hear three different sounds like this. The first sound, you put the instrument against the mouth, and you can hear the sound, something like this. The second sound, you blow through the instrument; you create, by the blow, the rhythm. The third sound, you move the tongue forward and backward. And now I will play for you something very, very exciting.”
