The first awardee today is a sanctuary from the United States, which brought 1,000 hen-people to safety. With the help of two chartered planes sponsored by a generous donor, Animal Place, a non-profit organization dedicated to sheltering rescued farm animal-people friends, has flown 1,000 chicken-people from an egg farm in Iowa State to its 600-acre safe haven in northern California. Upon hearing about this amazing work, Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present Animal Place the Shining World Compassion Award and a US$10,000 humble contribution to support your benevolent efforts, with lots of love, gratitude, and praises for all you do to save precious lives.”Now we travel to India to meet the next awardee, Mr. Gaurav Jain. After serving as a volunteer with the animal-people rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in India for about 10 years, Mr. Jain realized that bird-people needed greater protection. So he started a non-profit organization called Sansthanam Abhay Daanam Charitable Bird Hospital, with a mission to provide medication, food, shelter, and care to injured or ill bird-individuals and other animal friends, especially those without caregivers. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Happily present Mr. Gaurav Jain the Shining World Compassion Award, plus a US$20,000 humble contribution to the Sansthanam Abhay Daanam Charitable Bird Hospital, in God’s Love.”The last Award in today’s show honors Mr. James Bean from Maine, United States. He launched Spiritual Awakening Radio in September 1988, out of his pure love of the great Masters and Their teachings. The focus of Mr. Bean’s programs is to share, through radio and other media, a deeper understanding of spirituality for a more peaceful planet.
