In Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association News from Taiwan (Formosa)…
Between April and June 2024, our Association members in Taiwan (Formosa) presented three screenings of “The Real Love” musical for indigenous communities in several mountain villages of Xiulin Township in Hualien County. The uplifting musical, inspired by the true story of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s wish for spiritual enlightenment to alleviate the suffering of humanity, was enjoyed by attendees of all ages.
Each person received a copy of “Love Is The Only Solution,” as well as Alternative Living and Supreme Master TV fliers. In addition, attendees could select Master’s books to bring home, including “Silent Tears,” “Wu Tzu Poems,” “The Noble Wilds,” “The Dogs in My Life,” “Of God and Humans -- Insights from Bible Stories,” “Coloring Our Lives,” “Your Halo Is Too Tight,” and “Master Tells Stories.” Desk lamps featuring Master’s photographs as well as lucky bags were also handed out to the attendees as prizes in drawings. Delicious vegan food was served, prepared with Loving Hut vegan meat substitutes as well as locally grown vegetables and wild-foraged edible plants.
To assist elderly and low-income families in the communities, our Association members also distributed gift bags containing towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, and shampoo, as well as vegan canned food and noodles.
During the event on April 27, 2024, Xiulin Township Mayor, The Honorable Wang Meigui, and Tongmen Village Chief, Mr. Yeh Qing-Xian, thanked Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) and our Taiwanese (Formosan) Association members for their aid following the April 2024 earthquake, and presented them with a “Certificate of Appreciation”:
“Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association In response to the April 3rd earthquake disaster, you have shown great concern for the social welfare and care for the disadvantaged by generously donating a batch of daily necessities to our township. This act of kindness has greatly benefited our residents, and your charitable deeds are truly commendable. We hereby present this certificate to express our sincere gratitude. Hualien County Xiulin Township Office Township Mayor Wang Meigui”
We are sincerely grateful to Most Compassionate Supreme Master Ching Hai, Who extends Her Grace and Love to everyone. We also thank our Taiwanese (Formosan) Association members for their supporting efforts on behalf of the indigenous mountain communities. In the protection of the Divine, may humanity and all fellow co-inhabitants enjoy the security and happiness of a vegan world.
