Coconut religion is also called “A Harmony of Faiths”, founded by the Most Reverent Nguyen Thanh Nam. Reverend Nguyen Thanh Nam was born in 1910 in Ben Tre province, Southern Au Lac. He was the oldest son in a wealthy and high-class family. He went to France to study and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1945, the young man Nguyen Thanh Nam left everything behind to go to the sacred mountain of That Son, searching for a spiritual teacher. After many years of spiritual practice and having achieved His goal in spiritual attainment, the Most Reverent Nguyen Thanh Nam traveled to Con Phung in Ben Tre province and built the Nam Quoc Phat ashram.
